Position description

Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP) is currently looking for a professional who will join its team at the position of:

EU policy advisor

Requirements:

  • education in economy, international relations, European studies or law
  • knowledge of the European Institutions, particularly related to the energy sector, the mechanisms and procedures, as well as the legislative process within the EU
  • knowledge of the European energy sector with particular attention to the Central Europe region
  • at least two year experience in organisation/company related to the energy sector or European affairs or relevant practice in think tank or academic institution or internship in institutions
  • good analytical and organisational skills
  • knowledge of computer and analytical tools
  • ability to work independently and under time pressure
  • excellent command of English (written and oral), knowledge of the language(s) from the Central Europe region would be an important asset
  • National of the EU, EEA or Switzerland or valid work permit

Responsibilities:

  • coordinating the activities of building and maintaining relations with the European Commission, European Parliament and other EU institutions, mainly related to the energy sector
  • preparing notes from meetings, conferences and events related to the energy sector
  • coordinating cooperation with the governmental institutions and other organisations related to the energy sector
  • monitoring of the events, trends and changes in the EU energy policy
  • support in organising CEEP events such as conferences, workshops, seminars
  • drafting CEEP’s position papers on specific issues related to the EU energy policy and other relevant documents, policy briefs, articles and papers
  • contribute to the CEEP report and other publications
  • represent the organization at and participate in high-level energy and energy policy, industry conferences, meetings, seminars and debates.
