As Amnesty International's Regional Researcher for North Africa, you will lead on the development and implementation of impactful research and campaigning strategies across the region.
You will be responsible for monitoring and analysing human rights developments, conducting field missions, and representing Amnesty International to external stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to the organisation's goal of addressing grave human rights violations and promoting justice and accountability.
Please note that this position is based in Paris. To be considered for this role, the applicant must hold working rights in France.
This is a fixed-term contract opportunity running through to 31st December 2025.
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced human rights researcher with deep knowledge of North Africa's political, legal, and cultural landscape. You possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, and are fluent in English, Arabic, and French. You are confident in leading field research, drafting high-impact reports, and engaging with a range of stakeholders from civil society to government bodies.
You're a strong team player, experienced in cross-functional collaboration, and adept at managing multiple priorities. You bring sound political judgement, diplomacy, and a deep commitment to the defence of human rights. Experience in economic and social rights research is highly desirable.
