Facebook is looking for a Public Policy Associate to support our Executive Branch team on complex cross-functional projects covering a broad range of issues with a focus on our economic, security and social good impact. The successful candidate will assist in supporting the identification and management of key federal partnerships, assist with the coordination efforts across internal teams and build greater awareness with policymakers and the public about our work. This Public Policy Associate will look to highlight our Community work where and when appropriate. 
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented, get-things-done professional who can function in a fast-moving environment, and rapidly earn credibility and trust with all levels of the organization. They must be an experienced communicator with the ability to understand complex policy and reputation challenges. They are passionate about the mission of Facebook, embody the characteristics of a true diplomat, and can help deftly manage relationships both inside and outside of the company. 
This is a full-time position located in our Washington, D.C. office. 


  • Assist with the identification, coordination and management of key federal government partnerships to advance our economic, social good, and security initiatives and priorities

  • Coordinate project management aspects and the successful execution of complex, cross-functional efforts

  • Create collateral, organize events, draft communications to educate policymakers and the public about our work

  • Identify and coordinate opportunities to showcase the company’s economic, security and social good efforts when/where appropriate

  • Build alignment among key project stakeholders and escalate decisions as required


  • 2+ years of work experience in a field of public policy, policy programs or political communications

  • Experience working on a public policy team, political campaign, in management consulting or a similar strategic program management role for a tech or consumer company

  • Experience with tracking the federal Executive Order process and federal policy development

  • Experience with the public policy community, including think tanks, academics, policy advocates/activists, trade associations, and other NGOs

  • BA/BS degree in public policy, economics, international relations or related field


  • Advanced Degree, MBA, MPA, or Law Degree

  • Experience working at a Tech Company
