ABOUT THE ROLE
As the publicist for the NewsHour, you’ll be responsible for coordinating a wide range of public relations related activities. You’ll be developing and executing outreach to a variety of audiences and helping to build awareness of NewsHour and correspondent/reporter activities.
YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS
You’ll get to know your team and the wider organization, and how each group functions independently as well as part of the whole. You’ll establish key relationships with your peers, while being exposed to executives through participation in editorial planning meetings.

You’re creating exciting press releasing and bringing more attention to the great work NewsHour is doing. You’ve not only helped us increase the number of awards we submit pieces for, but also have helped craft submissions that lead to us winning awards. You’re able to produce high quality work and your supervisor has complete trust in your abilities. You think outside the box and aren’t afraid to make suggestions.
