Position description

We are looking for an energetic and dedicated individual to coordinate activities and to provide support to our educational partners as they prepare for a service-learning trip with GPSA. The position offers a unique opportunity for an independent individual with a passion for global health and education. 

The Key responsibilities are: 1) Schedule online information, leadership and pre-departure sessions for new school partnerships, renewing school partnerships, and open programs. Coordinate with the regional managers to staff the sessions. 2) Invite the LIT’s (Leader In Training) for partnership and open programs. Coordinate with the regional managers to make sure LIT’s are supported. 3) Keep track of and communicate with partners the MOU milestones including commitments of student numbers, financial aid, deposits and invoices. 4) Add staff and chaperone phone numbers, accounting CLASS and number of participants to their assigned programs in the Zoho calendar 5) Maintain the contact database 6) Follow up with potential participants that attended recruiting presentations for open programs

The primary qualifications are : 1) Undergraduate degree in a health-related field, tourism, education, community service, international relations or a related field is preferred, 2) or related experience. 3) Demonstrated ability to work in English, both oral and written; 4) Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, in a home-based setting 5) Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills 6) Excellent communication and reporting skills to effectively communicate/exchange information 7) Demonstrated interest in education, tourism, and health.

Additionally considered skills that are not required are: 1) Demonstrated experience working with high school or college students; 2) Experience working internationally in health or community development;

This job is located in Guatemala.

An annual budget is provided for office utilities (telephone, computer, internet, printing) and visa renewals. Paid holiday: 2 weeks per year + Guatemalan National Holidays
