Position description

Provide comprehensive support to the bank that’s changing a continent.

Are you a capable and confident secretary or administrator? Do you have excellent planning skills, proven ability to prioritise your workload and highly developed problem-solving abilities? Then you can provide crucial support within one of the directorates of the Council of Europe Development Bank.

Established in 1956 and bringing together 42 member countries, the CEB finances and responds to emergency situations and actively enhances the living conditions of the most disadvantaged groups. Every day will bring different challenges as you prepare documents, publications and annual reports in English and/or French, undertake translation and proofreading, and liaise constantly with other directorates. At the same time, you will organise and minute meetings and workshops, arrange travel and events, implement effective workflow management procedures, issue contracts andconstantly update our website, giving you real involvement in everything we do.

Qualifications

To join us, you will require:

  • Sound experience as an administrator or secretary, ideally gained within a similar international organisation or financial institution;
  • A high level of computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office suite and ideally large contract databases;
  • Demonstrable ability to learn quickly, multitask productively and operate autonomously;
  • Full fluency in either English or French, backed by a good command of the other language;
  • A self-motivated, adaptable, innovative and results-oriented approach;
  • Familiarity with capital markets and financial transactions and documentation would be very useful for certain roles.
