Key Responsibilities:

Programme Officer (Somalia Crisis Recovery Project)


Salary: circa £22,258 per annum, pro rata (FTE £37,096 per annum) + good range of benefits


Contract: Fixed term until 31 July 2023 – Part time 3 days per week


Based: London or Milton Keynes with option for Home Working

Job Purpose

World Vision has been awarded a $10.5 million contract over 18 months by the Somali government in order provide support to both flood and drought affected communities in Hirshabelle State in Somalia by: a) restoring livelihoods through agricultural crop and livestock production where relevant; restoring and supporting other livelihoods interventions, and; b) providing basic services including water, sanitation, education and basic health services. It is expected the portfolio will grow in size and scope as we progress through implementation.

The Programme Officer (PO) will be responsible for supporting the Programme Manager (PM) to manage the Somalia Crisis Recovery Project (SCRP) which is being implemented through the Somali Resilience Program (SomReP) consortium. The PO is responsible for various tasks assigned by the PM ensuring that the agreed results are delivered by the consortium partners and sub-contractors in line with the expectations of the donor in the Programme Contract. This includes overseeing the consortium partners to ensure that outcomes are achieved on time and one budget, and risks are managed accordingly.
