Position description
As the Government Affairs & Public Affairs Analyst you will provide research, analytical, and writing support to the TotalEnergies Washington, D.C. office.
Your missions in this role will include:
- Drafting and compiling weekly reports summarizing U.S. foreign policy, trade, and domestic policy developments relevant to TotalEnergies
- Attending “Think Tank” events and debriefing the D.C. team with implications for TotalEnergies
- Tracking legislative progress and executive actions on foreign, trade, and energy/climate issues
- Contributing to and leading coordination and editing of monthly and ad hoc deliverables
- Contributing to and leading coordination and tracking of TotalEnergies executive dossiers and briefing materials in advance of U.S. Government leadership engagements
- Make recommendations regarding government affairs actions to the Head of the Washington, D.C. office
Candidate profile
- Master’s Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, and/or Energy/Climate Policy-related discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ experience working with U.S. foreign policy, trade policy, and energy/climate issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and research experience
- Critical thinking skills, very strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task under deadline
- Ability to distill lengthy and complex information into concise written work product and verbal debriefings for TotalEnergies leadership
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

This position reports to the President & CEO of the TotalEnergies Washington, DC Representative Office.
This position sits in TotalEnergies American Services (TEAS). TEAS is a support organization that provides shared services to multiple entities in the Americas.
TotalEnergies is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. The selected candidate must have current legal work authority for the US.
