- Act as an in-house expert on sustainability topics, covering both high-level (e.g., strategy development, materiality assessment, reporting) and topic-specific (e.g., climate transition planning, DEI, digital sustainability) issues
- Collaborate on the design of short and long educational formats, including courses, learning sessions, and custom workshops
- Create clear and practical teaching materials such as slides, templates, and toolkits
Delivery & Facilitation (~30%)
- Deliver engaging and interactive content in live online workshops
- Answer participant questions across various channels, both live and asynchronous
- Help facilitate breakout rooms and group exercises, encouraging peer-to-peer learning
Expert Community Engagement (~15%)
- Leverage your network to source experts who can enhance our educational offerings
- Conduct screening calls and handle partnership negotiations
- Build and maintain relationships with individual experts and other organizational partners
Strategy Development (~15%):
- Actively contribute to collaboratively shaping the vision & strategic direction of LFCA
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting corporate sustainability to guide our content strategy
Your Profile
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in corporate sustainability, either in-house or as a consultant
- Degree in sustainability management, environmental science, or a related field
- Good understanding of the challenges practitioners face in various industries, especially in digital technologies and business services

- A commitment to science-based sustainability and the role of education in achieving it
Personal Traits
- An attitude of pragmatic optimism
- You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy team work
- Direct & transparent communicator with strong conflict-management skills
- Self-motivated, happy to take creative ownership over your role & responsibilities
- Open to horizontal hierarchy & collaborative decision-making processes
- Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities & timelines.
- Comfortable with a mix of async (Slack, written) & live (Zoom) collaborative work.
- Charismatic, engaging and conversational content delivery style
- You believe in the power of education to make change happen
- Straight-forward honesty and lack of bravado (own what you don’t know)
- Generosity of spirit (sharing resources, insights, challenges & mistakes)
We particularly invite applications from women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, people from working-class backgrounds and/or from the Global South, and members of other marginalised communities.
We know that long lists of criteria can be daunting and that some candidates will not apply for a role unless they feel they are 100% qualified. If you feel you meet at least some of the essential criteria, we still encourage you to apply.
Why Us
- Fair compensation ranging from €54,000 to €74,000, depending on experience.
- 36-hour working week as standard, plus 27 days of paid leave.
- Opportunity to make a difference by aiding thousands of companies worldwide on their path to science-based sustainability.
- A close-knit team, recognized as the #13 organization to ‘escape to’ by Escape the City.
- Supportive environment that fosters both flexibility and personal growth.
- Flexible working environment (family friendly), adjustable working hours and shared commitment to work-life balance.
- Access to a community of leading sustainability experts and practitioners.
Our Team
We take shared ownership for the success of the Academy and practice non-hierarchical collaborative decision-making for most day-to-day tasks. You are your own manager at LFCA, and your colleagues are your guides! For this system to thrive, we’re looking for a new colleague who is willing to invest time & energy in building collaborative, trusting relationships with the core team, and establishing a meaningful role for themselves in our journey.
While we are a fully remote team, we meet somewhere in Europe for one compulsory in-person off-site per year, and optionally on 1-2 additional occasions. We also share a co-working space in Berlin where several of us work regularly together.
