Arnold & Porter is seeking a Policy Advisor for the Legislative and Public Policy Practice Group in its Washington, D.C. office. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of eight years of experience working in Congress, an Executive branch department or agency, or in a government relations role on behalf of an association, interest group, or company. Experience working on appropriations, education, energy, national defense, tax, technology, and/or trade policy matters is preferred.
The Legislative and Public Policy Practice Group of Arnold & Porter is Chambers-rated as one of the top legislative practices at a national law firm. The Legislative and Public Policy Practice Group is comprised of approximately 40 people and works in a high-energy, fast-paced environment that rewards initiative and teamwork in the pursuit of quality client service. The primary focus of the group is Congressional and regulatory advocacy on behalf of globally recognized brands, Fortune 500 companies, innovative start-ups, leading associations, utilities, large manufacturers, healthcare systems, educational institutions, units of local government, foreign governments, and coalitions.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The anticipated base salary for this position is $165,000 to $225,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
