Our Community Risk Assessment team seeks to identify, mitigate, and prevent risks to our community and platform. We conduct proactive and post-mortem investigations, which stress test and probe our internal systems in order to understand the root cause of each issue, and deliver action-oriented assessments with the end state of keeping our community safe. Through this work, we hope to build trust in communities and empower Facebook to fulfill its mission by inspiring a culture of accountability and driving holistic solutions.
We are seeking a seasoned Manager to lead a regional team — we're targeting a resilient self-starter who thrives in driving structure in ambiguous spaces, working in fast-paced environments and leveraging strong strategic and critical thinking skills to define solutions to new problem sets. A successful candidate should be an experienced leader who loves investigating problems, identifying root causes, and rallying people to drive change across a global organization. Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to a high performing team — work with direct reports on strategies for executing on goals, measuring progress and sharing results
Spearhead our investigative methodology, creating a unified message and an understanding of events and root causes
Develop and maintain close relationships with global cross-functional teams including PR/Communications, Public Policy, Product and Legal and others to problem solve and develop solutions
Use your influencing skills to drive improvements with cross-functional stakeholders to policies, processes, systems, and products that mitigate risk to community
Partner with leaders across the company to ensure that efforts receive appropriate prioritization and cross-functional resources
Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence team strategy through effective communication
BS/BA Degree or higher
3+ years of people management, and organizational leadership experience
8+ years of experience in an operations, risk management, policy, legal operations or management consulting
Experience setting goals for a team and executing on vision
Experience in assessing, analyzing and resolving issues, and distilling findings to a variety of audiences
Experience working with minimal supervision to multitask and manage workload to completion
Program management, communication, stakeholder management, negotiating, and influencing experience with a track record of achieving engagement from internal and cross-functional stakeholders
Experience working as part of a global, cross-functional team and working with all levels through collaboration and relationship building
Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving experience
Experience prioritizing tasks and delivering results
Advanced degree in international relations, philosophy, business, policy, journalism, legal, etc.
Experience working in risk strategy at a Big 4 firm, the government sector, or banking
Experience with a fast-paced, always-on, frequently ambiguous environment
