Position description

The Associate is responsible for supporting and implementing ASG’s communications and marketing initiatives within the firm’s Business Development, Communications, and Marketing team. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, a skilled writer and editor, and eager to develop expertise at the intersection of communications, marketing, and business development.

Essential duties and responsibilities:


  • Manage day-to-day operations and updates of the ASG website and social media
  • Manage distribution and editing of regional team white papers and other materials
  • Participate in the development and implementation of ASG-hosted events, both in-person and virtual
  • Develop and update the firm’s primary marketing materials
  • Maintain an editorial calendar to plan for upcoming content

Media relations

  • Serve as a point of contact with media, vetting and managing media requests
  • Brief firm leadership in advance of media interviews and staff interviews as needed
  • Aid in strategic outreach to reporters and producers 
  • Maintain and update firm press lists and media log
  • Draft press releases and other media materials 

Internal communications

  • Draft and distribute the firm’s internal monthly newsletter
  • Work on other internal communications initiatives, as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, international relations, or a related field
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with MailChimp
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, is a plus
