Position Summary:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing Zero Foodprint’s progress for all programs and funders. This includes managing contracts, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and reporting for 10-15 programs/incoming grants per year. This role will work closely with program managers, field staff, and partners, reporting to the Director of Operations. 

The Project Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining spreadsheets and/or project management software to track grant spending against budgets, preparing invoices in accordance with specific guidelines and creating reports for various funders including foundations, as well as local, state, and federal government grants. 

This position also ensures internal controls are followed and that expenses claimed for reimbursement are within program and agency guidelines and are properly documented and approved. This position requires a highly organized and dynamic individual, with proven grant and project management experience and a strong background managing grants, billing, and budget management. Must be both strategic (big picture) and detail oriented. This position requires strong computer skills, time management skills and the ability to multitask.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Track progress on deliverables and milestones for incoming grants/projects.
  • Ensure contracts are executed in a timely fashion.
  • Track and ensure scope of work is accomplished on a project level basis.
  • Create status reports for each project.
  • Maintain up to date project information in project management software such as Monday.com
  • Track and oversee project budgets including staff time.
  • Regular interaction with Program Staff to glean information to complete quarterly, semi-annual and annual/ end-of year reports and annual budget. 
  • Drafting reports for various grant funders with input from program staff.

 

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Self-directed and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Fluency in Google Suite, Monday.com, Asana, or other project management software
  • General knowledge of one of the following areas;  climate action, or regenerative agriculture, federal and/or state grants management, project management, and/or proven ability to adapt your skillset to a new content area.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required.

Schedule: Full time, salaried position

Zero Foodprint hours are 9am - 5pm Pacific time, Monday through Friday. While work hours can be flexible depending on time-zone, the majority of expected work hours shall occur during normal Zero Foodprint office hours.

 

Compensation: $55,000-$70,000 annual salary. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
