Position description

The Associate to the Chief People Officer, People & Culture is responsible for all aspects of the Office of People & Culture. They serve as the day-to-day point of contact for all interaction with the Chief People Officer, People & Culture.

This position is based in Washington, DC (Hybrid schedule).

Essential Functions

  • Oversee the daily activities of the Chief People Officer, People & Culture
  • Serve as the key point of contact on all logistical and administrative support items for the Chief People Officer, People & Culture
  • Oversee the administration and planning of the Chief People Officer, People & Culture’s calendar and the request for briefing materials as needed
  • Coordinate staff follow-up to Chief People Officer, People & Culture’s requests
  • Coordinates the Chief People Officer, People & Culture’s expenses including scheduling, expenses, consultant contracts and other items as needed
  • Coordinate support for the Senior Director, People & Culture including scheduling, expenses
  • Maintaining working knowledge of the UNF agreement process (for both contracts and grants), and when to utilize the proper templates accordingly
  • Attending training sessions provided by UNF’s contracts team to maintain and keep up to date with UNF’s current policies and procedures
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of UNF’s Salesforce database to be able to process and track agreements, extract information, and prepare reports
  • Provide surge support to Executive Office and other teams across the organization as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 1 - 3 of related work experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and political judgment
  • General knowledge of global issues and an understanding of the UN Foundation’s mission, programs, strategy, and goals
  • Attention to detail and high degree of organization
  • Ability to take initiative, self-starter
  • Exceptional political acumen
  • The utmost discretion
  • Ability to multitask and juggle many projects at once
  • Excellent knowledge Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to stay current on software, apps and platforms related to executive management and administration

  • Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy
