Position description
NCSC is seeking a Salvadoran national to serve as a Travel and Events Specialist for a U.S. State Department-funded project in El Salvador. Qualified Salvadoran Nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Competitive candidates will have:
- Educational background in Logistics, Hospitality, Business, and other related careers.
- Prior experience working with travel agencies, hotels or event planners in order to book training facilities, lodging arrangements, car rentals and other logistics requirements/purchases.
- Demonstrated experience serving in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, multitasking environments with high customer service skills.
- Prior experience managing travel and event documents for large number of exchange visitors and trainees.
- Ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate, and communicate clearly/effectively; and execute multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and digital drives.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and invoices
- Demonstrated communications skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences, including colleagues, counterparts, clients, and vendors/service providers.
- Demonstrated soft skills in leadership, personal initiative, proactivity, and teamwork.
- Work related mobility is required. The ideal candidate must be able to travel within the country as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Proficiency in English is required.

The candidate will work under the direction of the Office Manager, and will work closely with NCSC home office staff, project vendors and service providers, and U.S. Embassy personnel.
