Action Against Hunger USA seeks a Corporate Campaigns Officer to contribute to the overall success of the Strategic Partnerships team and drive new global partnerships with industry-leading companies.
The Corporate Campaigns Officer will be responsible for activating annual strategic partnership plans, meeting objectives, managing timelines and achieving fundraising results. For this, the Corporate Campaigns Officer will serve as the internal point of contact for global partnerships, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships with a dotted line to the Associate Director of Communications. The Corporate Campaigns Officer will liaise directly with external corporate partners and lead global workstreams that include contracting, customer activations, internal and external communications, promotional events, engagement of celebrity/brand influencers and leadership within partner organizations, and internal and external reporting on fundraising achievements and other campaign objectives. This role will regularly engage with Strategic Partnerships, Communications, Events and Digital Marketing colleagues, and other Action Against Hunger offices in Europe, Canada, and India as needed.
The ideal candidate will have past experience working on global corporate-NGO partnerships, as well as marketing, communications, and/or fundraising campaigns. They have strong project management, communications and people skills, and understand the level of stewardship and coordination required to manage a corporate partnership of scale. They possess a diverse skillset that includes experience in many of the following fields: internal and external communications; cause marketing and brand development; event planning; celebrity/influencer engagement; fundraising, corporate reputation, philanthropy, and/or sales; and international development. They are organized and self-directed, with a track record of successful relationship management, meeting fundraising goals, and/or execute a marketing strategy.
Purpose: Manage a portfolio of partnerships with leading companies that have an international reach. Help shape the Action Against Hunger Network’s overall global partnerships strategy, prospecting, and outreach. This position will have a fundraising goal starting at $1 million USD per year through corporate partnerships efforts.
Engagement: Focal point for internal workstreams and engages with fundraising, communications, marketing, event and leadership across Action Against Hunger’s US, European and India offices as well as select programmatic sites. The Corporate Campaigns Officer will also serve as the primary point-of-contact for US-based global corporate partners as well as other external stakeholders. Some engagement is also required with various consultants/contractors. The Corporate Campaigns Officer works within the External Relations Department under the supervision of the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships.
Delivery: Develop and coordinate internal and external communications around Action Against Hunter’s work for and with corporate partners that have an international reach. Manage the relationships and deliverables for a corporate partner portfolio.
Key activities in your role will include
Internal Communications
• Tracks and manages deliverables across Action Against Hunger Network
• Liaises effectively between US-based global corporate partner and key internal stakeholders and leadership
• Leads internal partnership meetings and leadership report outs
External Communications
• Supports the development of communications strategies, tactics, timelines and key materials (e.g., related press releases, social media posts, videos and other related collateral), working across internal Action Against Hunger teams and with US-based global corporate partners
• Serves as primary point-of-contact for US-based global corporate partners, holding regular update calls and meetings.
Partnership Management
• Participates in developing annual corporate partnerships strategy and related contracting
• Project management of initiatives related to partners in portfolio
• Coordinates customer fundraising and activations
• Manages the planning and execution of logistics for corporate partnership events
• Supports celebrity and influencer engagement efforts
• Facilitates and optimizes strategies around leadership engagement
• Monitors, evaluates, and reports on progress and success of partnership
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date account management records in Raisers Edge database
Action Against Hunger Network Support
Supports prospecting and outreach for new global partners
Advises on overall global partnership strategy
Maintains related files, collateral and tracking documents in shared network database
Other duties as required
Undergraduate degree required; Master’s Degree a plus
Required Skills & Experience
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience working with corporate partnerships, corporate social responsibility, institutional giving, fundraising, global campaigns, project management, communication, marketing, and/or event planning
• Successful track-record supporting or leading global campaigns, complex and large national campaigns, and/or corporate partnership relationships
• Ability to multi-task by overseeing multiple workstreams with multiple deliverables across various time horizons.
• Some domestic and international travel will be required
• Familiarity with international development issues (e.g. malnutrition, water access, sustainable livelihoods, etc.) preferred
• Familiarity with Raisers Edge and/or Salesforce database system a plus
• German, Spanish and/or French speaker a plus
Salary range for this role is $75,000-$80,000
