The internship resides in the Director’s Office within UNICEF's Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (GCA).
Through multiple platforms and in multiple languages, UNICEF’s Director of Global Communication and Advocacy, in his capacity as UNICEF Official Spokesperson, draws attention to the many facets of UNICEF’s work, encouraging public support, participation and action, as well as ensuring greater transparency and accountability. The Director’s social media accounts deliver compelling UNICEF content to international audiences of parents, young people and UNICEF supporters, building engaged communities in multiple languages across social media and web platforms, while providing expert digital services to the organization. For the successful intern, this is a unique opportunity to learn about UNICEF, work with teams across 190 offices, and deliver impact.
How can you make a difference?
The Social Media Intern enhances UNICEF's knowledge leadership and social media impact by managing the Director's social platforms through strategy development, content creation, audience engagement, and performance analytics.
Deliverable: Daily social media posting and engagement
Deliverable: Daily community management
Deliverable: Project presentation
Deliverable: 5-7 pieces of content each week for the Director’s global social media channels (English).
