Position description

The Division of Social Sciences seeks an adjunct history instructor for our undergraduate Legal Thinking course within the Political Science division. The course is intended to prepare prelaw students to take the LSAT. Part-time teaching positions are available throughout the academic year, including summer sessions. 

Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted by the department chair for an interview. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the department chair will try to provide timely notice about available courses and potential course rescheduling, cancellations, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Teach courses on Legal Thinking as assigned. Construct syllabi, deliver in-class instruction, utilize the Canvas online learning management platform, perform timely grading and evaluation, meet with students during office hours.

Qualifications

JD or MA in Political Science or closely related field. Experience teaching LSAT prep courses preferred. Please include a brief cover letter and current CV in your application. Please submit any questions to Steve Taylor, PhD, Program Coordinator, Criminal Justice.
