We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Consultant who will be responsible for driving growth within European institutions and expanding our footprint across other key political institutions and stakeholders in Brussels and beyond. Your role will focus on building strong networks, identifying new opportunities, and successfully converting these into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans aimed at winning new clients and expanding existing contracts within the European Commission and other Brussels-based political institutions, NGOs, agencies, and associations;
- Actively engage, network, and build relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers within EU institutions and political organisations;
- Identify, qualify, and generate new business opportunities, ensuring a robust sales pipeline;
- Lead and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through proposal preparation, negotiation, and successful closing of contracts;
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including media analysis consultants, to create tailored, value-driven proposals and solutions;
- Represent our company at relevant Brussels-based events, seminars, and conferences to increase visibility and drive market engagement.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of proven business development or consultative sales experience, ideally selling services to European institutions, political organizations, or international public sector clients;
- Established professional network and demonstrable success in developing new business within Brussels’ political and institutional landscape;
- Solid understanding of EU institutional structures, decision-making processes, and procurement practices;
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills;
- Proven ability to manage complex sales processes and meet ambitious revenue targets;
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate our services' value to diverse stakeholders;
- Fluent written and spoken English; proficiency in additional EU languages, especially French or German, is highly desirable.
