Position description

Carnegie Europe, the European policy research center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is seeking a full-time communications coordinator to work in its Brussels office.

The communications coordinator will assist the communications manager with the implementation of the center’s online communications strategy and digital outreach campaigns as well as support the copyediting of short-form content. Responsibilities will include supporting the implementation of Carnegie Europe’s digital communication strategy; drafting social media content and producing visual content for social media distribution; producing performance and analytical reports for online campaigns; assisting with website maintenance and uploading web content; drafting, preparing, and distributing html-based newsletters; monitoring and collating press coverage; assisting with database/CRM management; drafting and reviewing web content, press releases and event invitations; and supporting the production of multimedia products, including video content.

This position requires a minimum two years of relevant experience in digital communications and copyediting as well as a university-level education. Native or near-native English is required. Knowledge of other languages, especially French, is a plus. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, clear interest in European and international affairs, experience with social media management, the ability to work well independently and as part of a team, and excellent time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is necessary. Basic knowledge of html and content management systems (CMS); experience with web advertising (Google Ads); and experience with video, graphics and multimedia production are preferred.
