How can you make a difference?

The Division of Human Resources (DHR), based in New York HQ, would like to engage an Intern to support the HR Business Partner team (Emergencies Cone). The intern will specifically support the team in sourcing candidates to enhance talent management initiatives for surge and fast track recruitment. Working under the direct supervision of the HR Manager, the Intern will support the Emergencies Cone in the development and successful implementation of HR initiatives related to recruitment and deployment of staff in emergency country offices.

Other specific tasks will include:

1. Sourcing 

  • Work in close coordination with the sourcing team to conduct humanitarian workforce support in the building of a data platform to enhance sourcing activities monitoring and workflow.
  • Engage in employer branding and sourcing activities to attract external candidates.

2. Workforce Planning 

  • Analyze, research, verify, and compile data which facilitates the preparation of workforce planning reports for the supervisor to review against benchmarks.
  • Compile and analyze information and statistics related to posts and staff for reports on staffing trends.
  • Collect, interpret and analyze HR recruitment data to help strategize the Emergencies Cone sourcing processes.
