The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for the position as Liaison Officer to represent DTU in the office of the EuroTech Universities Alliance in Brussels.
Responsibilities and tasks
As a member of the DTU Office for International Relations, your overall responsibility will be to support the development of DTU’s strategic international alliances and partnerships in a European funding and policy context. Examples of current collaborations are the EuroTech Universities Alliance (see below), Nordic Five Tech (www.nordicfivetech.org), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and the Sino-Danish Centre in Beijing (SDC).
The office provides executive management support to the DTU leadership, facilitates collaboration across the value chain of research, education, innovation, entrepreneurship and public sector consultancy and collaborates pro-actively with a broad range of both internal and external stakeholders to stimulate collaboration and raise awareness on funding and policy opportunities. The office consists of five team members and one head of office.
The EuroTech Universities Alliance (https://eurotech-universities.eu/) is a strategic partnership of six leading technical universities in Europe: Technical University of Denmark, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Eindhoven University of Technology, Technical University of Munich, École Polytechnique in Paris, and Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Through the promotion of in-depth collaboration across research, education, innovation and entrepreneurship, the Alliance combines the complementary strengths of its partner universities to develop joint initiatives and engage in policy definition with key EU stakeholders through the promotion of its experience and expertise.
The EuroTech Brussels Office works to raise the profile and visibility of the Alliance on the European scene and to enhance the EuroTech Universities’ participation in HORIZON 2020 and Horizon Europe, ERASMUS+ and other related EU funding programmes. The Brussels office consists of a head of office, an office manager, a communications officer and four liaison officers from the partner universities.
Your typical responsibilities as DTU liaison officer will include:
The work will be undertaken in close collaboration with the alliance partners and in close dialogue with DTU, Office for International Relations. The successful candidate will be employed by and formally report to DTU, Head of International Relations, Anne Mette Holt. In practical terms he/she will undertake tasks set by DTU, as well as tasks in relation to the Alliance as a whole. With regard to the latter, the Liaison Officer’s work will be guided and coordinated by the Head of the Brussels Office.

The place of work is Brussels, Belgium. Some travel to DTU in Lyngby and within Europe must be expected.
