Position Summary

The Institute for Sustainable Communities is seeking a Senior People & Culture Generalist  to provide support to the Vice President of People & Culture managing all internal human resources practices. The position will be primarily responsible for the administration of People & Culture systems and procedures related to payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding & offboarding, workers compensation management, out-of-state employee compliance & assistance with performance management. 

While ISC is a global organization of approximately 45 employees, the majority of responsibilities will pertain to the U.S. staff of approximately 25 employees. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Paylocity - HR & Payroll, Recruiting, Time & Labor
  • Administer compensation benchmarking and benefit plan management - including invoice approvals
  • Manage talent acquisition and recruitment processes - including job description creation, job postings, interview scheduling & administration, reference checks and offer letter creation
  • Manage and administer all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Assist in organizing training & development initiatives
  • Provide support to employees in various PC-related topics - resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote PC programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of people & culture policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Gather and analyze data with useful PC metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Maintain employee demographic and EEO data for grant management purposes
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and assistance in  team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Additional duties as requested

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business administration or a relevant field
  • 4 - 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience 
  • Thorough understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Experience with Paylocity - preferred 
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of equity, diversity and inclusion 
  • Ability to perform responsibilities using an equity lens - understanding and working with diverse stakeholders with comfort and ease
  • Attention to detail and data entry skills with high degree of accuracy

Salary Range

 

  • $72,000-$85,000 - based on experience
