Main duties and responsibilities
The International Officer for Middle East and Africa is operationally responsible for delivering the University's corporate international agenda within the region. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and manage the sales / recruitment channels, delivering against agreed international student recruitment targets for the territory. The post holder will represent the University at relevant international higher education events within the region and conferences to enhance the reputation and the brand image of the University. The post holder will help support partnerships with overseas institutions and build successful relationships with external stakeholders as well as manage marketing and sales activities with these institutions, agents and sponsor bodies. The role has a strong service focus and requires a high standard of service to both external and internal stakeholders.
Skills and experience required
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully working in a comparable international or sales role . A track record of achieving international sales targets is essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to work and build relationships with people from a range of environments, cultures and backgrounds. Excellent IT skills and strong organisation and planning skills are essential.
Qualifications required
Hold a minimum of a degree, or equivalent qualification, or substantial experience of international student recruitment.
