The Global Mobility team seeks a strong leader to own strategy, design, and delivery of key mobility initiatives to support Facebook’s broader people and business goals during rapid, global growth. This is not a traditional Global Mobility role, and it will not be exclusively focused on any one competency area. This is a new position that is best suited for a passionate mobility professional with experience leading a complex technology development roadmap, technical programs and special projects across all mobility competencies (relocation, tax and immigration). Experience managing multiple competing stakeholder demands in a lightning-fast and ever-changing environment is a must! A successful candidate in this role will have impact by leading cross-competency projects at both hands-on and strategic levels; projects will include mobility technology (internal and external), scaling our programs and experiences through immense growth, financial management, training and education, and team and vendor performance management. This role is critical to scale and grow the processes and systems to deliver an exceptional Facebook experience for our highly mobile workforce. This position reports to the Director, Global Mobility and is based in our Menlo Park, CA headquarters.


  • Provide expertise in development, planning, facilitation and execution of global initiatives around all aspects of technology, process automation, data integrity, program scale, financial management, education and performance management.

  • Optimize the use of existing mobility and general HR and recruiting tools to enhance mobility experience.

  • Develop project roadmaps and success metrics, consistently meet milestones and goals, and regularly measure and communicate progress.

  • Establish meeting goals and develop agendas and supporting materials to influence a broad set of stakeholders.

  • Anticipate, escalate, and resolve issues.

  • Drive change management globally.

  • Own and influence consulting vendor relationships to align to mobility goals.

  • Develop key performance management metrics.

  • Drive measurable improvements through automation of routine mobility transactions and workflow handoffs between stakeholder groups reducing cycle times and improving employee satisfaction.

  • Develop assessment processes for team development and performance management and facilitate team strategy sessions.

  • Additional opportunities will be both self-identified and assigned by functional leaders, in alignment with team and company goals.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years of global mobility experience.

  • BA/BS degree.

  • Experience in helping global organizations scale.

  • Understanding of mobility technology with a focus on innovation.

  • Demonstrated project management/change management skills.

  • Consulting, coaching and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to operate in a matrixed and constantly changing environment.

  • Ability to create both executive level deliverables that tell a story as well as technical or process-centric materials.

  • Available for domestic and international travel if needed (up to 10-20% of time).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate in-house mobility related positions as well as consulting/accounting firm experience.

  • Experience with CRM or HRIS system implementations.

  • Experience working directly with business leaders with the ability to influence change.

  • Experience with mobility workflow and/or assignment management technology.

  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve goals.

  • Understanding of robotic process automatic and cognitive technologies.

  • Communication, interpersonal, relationship building, consulting, teamwork and leadership skills.
