Novetta has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, technically-oriented Research and Targeting Analyst to join our team using common technologies to produce uncommon intelligence insights.  Our customer relies on Novetta to help synthesize a large volume of data in order to prepare and deliver region-specific threat intelligence to nationwide consumers.  The ideal candidate will take their place amongst a team of other analysts and supporting engineers who all bring a technical edge to their craft, pushing the boundaries of desktop information manipulation in order to create data-rich analytic products that deliver value in low-bandwidth / disadvantaged resource field environments.

In this role you will:

  • Research, analyze, produce, and disseminate clear and concise intelligence reports from bulk data to the intelligence community.
  • Utilize classified and unclassified databases and advanced intelligence research tools and software applications to perform research, analysis and report writing.
  • Establlish and maintain relationships with customers and other users within the intelligence community.
  • Publish regular deliverables that result in new operations and investigations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in International Relations, Global Affairs, Criminal Justice or related field with 3+ years of intelligence analysis experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Above-average proficiency with Microsoft Excel, especially a familiarity with using Excel formulas and other features to derive new values from base data.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team to produce a shared deliverable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and 'quality first' mindset.
     

Desired Skills:

  • Experience conducting targeting related research and analysis activities in support of law enforcement or intelligence operations.
  • Experience with VBA and/or macros for automating tasks in Excel.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other Business Intelligence software.

Security Clearance:

  • Must currently possess an active US government Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access within a reasonable, customer-mandated timeframe. An active SCI is not required to begin working.
  • Must be willing and able to pass a counter-intelligence (CI) polygraph examination. An existing favorable CI polygraph is not required to begin working.
