We are searching for…

Search’s West Africa portfolio includes Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria, Guinea, Mali, Niger and Cote d’Ivoire. The West Africa intern will support the team in providing programmatic, logistical and financial support to Search’s projects in the region. Your contribution

The roles are responsibilities of include:

  • Contributing to the production of grant proposals
  • Attending policy meetings, representing the West Africa program
  • Backstopping the regional West Africa team and the country offices overseas
  • Assisting with updating country program website materials
  • Assisting with database system management
  • Conducting research and analysis as appropriate

You are…
You meet the following qualifications:

  • Strong writing, editing and communication skills (required)
  • A self-starting, detail-oriented and flexible approach to tasks (required)
  • Demonstrable interest in the West Africa region and/or conflict resolution (required)
  • Desirable:
  • Fluency or advanced proficiency in French, writing and oral (highly desirable)
  • Degree in relevant subject
  • Experience working at a non-governmental organization/non-profit or similar environment
  • International experience
  • Undergraduates (juniors and seniors), graduate students, and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
