A Little About Us
HuffPost is a Pulitzer Prize-winning source of breaking news, video, features and entertainment, as well as a highly engaged global community for opinion and conversation. The site launched its first international edition in May 2011.
HuffPost is looking for an enthusiastic intern to write and report on breaking news and major stories involving politics, culture, international affairs and more this summer.
The ideal candidate is interested in a wide range of topics, from the extraordinary current political period to crucial conversations about gender discrimination in Hollywood and beyond. You should be a vociferous news consumer with deep familiarity about the major stories of the day.
HuffPost is seeking a talented writer with formal reporting experience who is just as obsessed with crafting artful ledes as they are with chasing down scoops. Interest in pursuing a career in journalism is a must.
HuffPost creates journalism for ordinary people, not tip-sheets for elites, so you should aim to provide coverage that is both accessible and impactful. HuffPost also tells stories in many formats, so you must be comfortable working with teams across the newsroom.
You will be joining a growing and diverse newsroom that reaches nearly 170 million people across the globe monthly, and many millions more through our social platforms and partner portals like Yahoo and AOL, which together reach over a billion users every month.
