Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Gross monthly salary of EUR 3,877.73 plus holiday pay and Christmas bonus
The role of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is to advance the interests of Australia and Australians internationally. This involves strengthening Australia’s security, enhancing Australia’s prosperity, delivering an effective and high quality overseas aid program and helping Australian travellers and Australians overseas.
The department provides foreign, trade and development policy advice to the Australian Government. DFAT also works with other Australian government agencies to drive coordination of Australia’s pursuit of global, regional and bilateral interests.
About the position
The position is based in Brussels. The Policy Officer will work within the Political section of the Australian Embassy to Belgium and Luxembourg and Mission to the EU and NATO. The Political section covers subject matters including EU policy and political developments, as well as matters of interest to Australia relating to NATO, Belgium and Luxembourg. Under limited direction the Policy Officer will be responsible for researching, analysing and reporting on these areas.
