Position description

Eurasia Group is the world’s leading political risk advisory and consulting firm. Our mission is to assist investors, companies, and public-sector institutions anticipate the opportunities and manage the risks created by the impact of politics and policy on markets around the world.
 
We are seeking interns to support our work on global thematic issues that do not cleanly fall into clear geographical buckets. These issues include topics such as analyzing the future of the global trade architecture and the potential implications for a client’s business.
 
This internship will not be paid and will be based at Eurasia Group’s offices in New York City. Applicants must be current students who can provide a certificate from their academic institution demonstrating their eligibility for academic credit for this internship.
 
The internship will provide opportunities to learn about the political risk field, develop competencies applicable to it, and network with Eurasia Group analysts responsible for coverage of other issues, countries, and sectors.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Follow and report on key developments regarding current themes of interest to clients
  • Identify and analyze new themes and develop messaging around them
  • As needed, work with Eurasia Group’s in-house consulting team on detailed client projects involving global themes

Qualifications

  • Educational background in international affairs, political science, economics, and/or business;
  • Ability to perform research and analysis using primary local sources;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications; and
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest and experience in the visual presentation of data and statistics is a plus.
