Position description

As the global footprint of BSI, as the UK’s National Standards Body, continues to grow, the importance of BSI’s international relations increases.  Through its membership of international standards bodies including ISO, IEC, CEN and CENELEC, and through its interactions with regional standards bodies such as COPANT and ARSO, BSI has built long-standing and deep relations.  In addition BSI works with standards development organizations around the world, including other national standards bodies, regional and provincial bodies, and industry consortia to share knowledge and develop common standards.
BSI has also worked with UK Government agencies, including UKTI, and with UK Embassies and business organizations around the world to promote the use of its standards.
These relations provide opportunities to increase the use of BSI’s standards, to open opportunities for UK companies to trade internationally, for businesses to share best practice and for BSI to secure donor-funded international projects.

This is an exciting interim opportunity to promote and adopt BSI and its standards in other countries as well as create opportunities for joint standards development.  You will take the role as a standards facilitator of international trade and support opportunities to build the UK China Standardization Cooperation Commission.
