The Assistant Director – Global Mobility will facilitate the implementation of systems and manage the internal and external relationships that support Northeastern travelers’ ability to seamlessly engage in academic, research, work, and co-op opportunities abroad. The Assistant Director will translate international immigration laws, rules and regulations into advice and actionable recommendations for evaluation and implementation by functional owners and stakeholders. Further, the Assistant Director – Global Mobility will research, design, and support processes for required mobility procedures related to the global mobility strategy, enabling the University to deliver a wide variety of educational activities across diverse jurisdictions.
Additionally, the Assistant Director – Global Mobility will support international program development by drafting, reviewing and revising documents related to the expansion of operations outside of Massachusetts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality of materials. The Assistant Director will serve as project manager for various University initiatives related to global mobility and international education regulatory compliance. The Assistant Director will support functional owners and stakeholders by designing and recommending improvements for the University global mobility practices.
Working as a member of Northeastern’s collaborative global core team, the Assistant Director – Global Mobility supports global mobility operations and compliance in service of the University’s current and future national and international educational offerings.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
3-6 years of experience in international relations
Demonstrated excellence in relationship development and management
Proven track record of successful project management across multiple entities
Experience working in a team environment
Familiarity with international immigration requirements
Master’s degree in related field
