Position description

Apply language capabilities and expertise in research and analytic techniques to comprehending complex global issues. Employ all-source intelligence and social media analyses to provide government clients with deep insights that drive national security policy. Employ innovative open source research techniques to build and analyze networks and provide targeting analysis studies. Analyze and comprehend the implications of in-country news and reporting, including counter threats, nuclear issues, religious issues, military and political analyses, or economic issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with international relations, international security, or national policy research and writing

-2+ years of experience with conducting open source research, academic research, all-source intelligence, or targeting

-Knowledge of political and religious leadership through expertise in academic, professional, or personal work

-Knowledge of Internet-based research, including Boolean logic, search engine and database resources, and Internet sources, such as social media, social networking tools, data exploitation, and commercial- and industry-based database

-Ability to produce deliverables with high-quality writing in a short time frame using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with researching in a foreign language using internationally-focused Web sites

-Experience with advanced search techniques, information databases, data visualization, and related tools, including Tableau or Adobe Suite

-Ability to speak a critical foreign language at a professional level

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred

-BA or BS degree in International Affairs, Political Science, Foreign Area Studies, National Security Studies, or Linguistics preferred; MA or MS degree in International Affairs, Political Science, Foreign Area Studies, National Security Studies, Linguistics, Business, Library Science, or a related research field a plus
