The Global Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CR&S) team is looking for an individual to support the execution of key initiatives including WorldClass (Deloitte’s societal impact initiative to empower 50 million futures by 2030), external reporting and sustainability. This role is in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (Deloitte Global) within Global Brand.
The role offers a unique opportunity to drive societal impact strategy and solutions with colleagues around the world. Through this role you will support the CR&S team in: program design and implementation, advisory to CR&S leaders across geographies, project management, research and analysis, and management of internal and external stakeholders.
We are seeking someone who has demonstrated commitment to Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability, or a related field. Work experience and academic studies in one or more of the following fields is preferred: public policy, politics, international affairs, sustainability, social and environmental issues management, engineering, cross-sector collaboration and partnerships, non-profit management, and/or international development.
The role is ideal for a versatile top-performing, Consultant or Senior Consultant, offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience working across the Deloitte global network. This role may be set-up as either a 12-24 month secondment from a Deloitte team, or a full-time opportunity.
Location: Preferred locations are NY, Washington DC, or Toronto. London may also be considered.
Work you’ll do:
Role specific responsibilities and skills required
Work with CR&S leaders to address WorldClass implementation needs (i.e., alignment of member firm commitments to global ambition – to impact 50 million people by 2030)
Assist with societal and environmental data gathering and review for external reporting including use and maintenance of reporting software systems
Participate actively with points of view, ideas, opinions, insights, in meetings and other forums
Team-oriented with ability to work and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Management of key stakeholders/contributors at various levels of seniority, from staff to senior partners, and across multiple countries
Knowledge and understanding of sustainability principals in one or more areas including sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, waste management, responsible procurement
Mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Contribute to development and implementation of communications strategies
Create communications deliverables, including, but not limited to: presentations and reports to senior leadership, internal and external website content, internal communications (webinars, newsletters), speaking points, press releases, toolkits, and social media postings
Develop strong working relationships inside and outside of Deloitte, including with other Deloitte Global teams, member firm CR&S teams and client service functions, in order to support program delivery
Proven ability to interact, work with and advise senior leaders
Research and analysis
Actively scan the external environment for news, trends, opportunities, and risks. Maintain an ongoing understanding of Deloitte’s marketplace positioning
Conduct primary and secondary research to inform the global CR&S strategy, including desktop research, issue analysis, and internal consultations/ interviews
Prepare research summaries, written and verbal briefings, and presentations synthesizing findings and recommendations
Project management skills with demonstrated execution of projects within timeframes
Assist in scheduling, planning, hosting, and facilitating events and meetings
Create and manage project plans, timelines, and key measures of success
Prepare progress and status reports
