About the Role

This Salesforce Administrator and Data Analyst will perform a critical function: ensuring the integrity of revenue data in the Salesforce system, collecting and analyzing information, and providing regular reports to leadership to inform budgetary decisions. The Salesforce Administrator/Analyst will sit within the Development-Communications Department and will support teams that raise money from and engage in outreach with institutions as well as individuals. This position will very closely with colleagues in the Finance Department and will play a crucial role in strengthening the Fund’s workflows and systems integration.

Essential Functions and Specific Responsibilities: Where you will make the most impact

  • Maintain and enhance Salesforce CRM of donors, gifts, and supporters
  • Create database systems to calculate and analyze revenue and giving patterns
  • Oversee revenue projections in Salesforce, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Input secured grant and grant agreements into database against projections
  • Develop workflows to track pledges and payments in Salesforce
  • Create and produce Salesforce-generated revenue reports for Leadership Team and Board of Directors
  • Integrate Salesforce donor database with other systems, including those in Finance
  • Reconcile revenue and budget numbers with Finance
  • Segment and pull CRM donor lists for mailings, invitations, and other purposes
  • Develop, track, and analyze Key Performance Indicators for Development-Communications
  • Train staff on Salesforce and optimize user behavior
  • Ensure high performance of Salesforce systems and products and complete regular systems audit
  • Upgrade and configure Salesforce systems for effective integration
  • Ensure information security and privacy in collaboration with IT team
  • Build features in Salesforce utilizing tools such as Process Builder, Workflow, Custom Objects, and Formula Fields
  • Manage Salesforce roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, and groups
  • Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing.


  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator
  • Experience with the Nonprofit Success Pack/Nonprofit Cloud
  • 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator in a similar environment
  • Extensive experience in the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems
  • Experience in creating management reports from Salesforce
  • Experience in performing Salesforce upgrades and ensuring successful integration
  • Exceptional ability to create and maintain Salesforce databases
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities
  • Proficiency in creating Salesforce profiles, allocating roles, and managing access
  • Knowledge of importing sales data and generating Salesforce reports
  • Ability to provide Salesforce training and end-user support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • Experience with Engaging Networks or similar online donation system
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization

New York or Washington, DC location preferred. East Coast location acceptable.
