Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Political Science and International Relations at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (128060) at the rank of Lecturer. This is a one year temporary appointment. Start date for the appointment is August 1, 2021. Position contingent upon funding.
The department is looking for a dynamic and effective teacher to work primarily in the public management and public policy concentration. Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and advising.
A MPA or MPP is required.
A Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Management, or Public Policy is preferred. Candidates who can teach courses in such areas as public human resources management, public budgeting, municipal policy and politics, and specific policy areas will receive special consideration.
