Position description

The Indo-Pacific Department within the Program Development Team develops and implements new Cultural Vistas initiatives in the Indo-Pacific region. Our team works on program design and project implementation for regional programs including workshops, conferences, small grants initiatives within Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) programs, Young Pacific Leaders (YPL) programs, and Professional Fellows Program (PFP).

  • Your job will be to revitalize public communications and the overall brand of the YSEALI, YPL, PFP and other programs within Indo-Pacific Department to help elevate wider recognition of the impact in the U.S. and in Indo-Pacific region.
  • At any given time, you will be responsible for all public-facing messaging – from creating social media campaigns to drafting infographics for reports and writing engaging press-releases. You will also meet our participants and alumni through various initiatives and help us plan media-side of events in support of our program’s brand identities.
  • You will report to Assistant Director within the Indo-Pacific Department and more specifically within the Young Pacific Leaders, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Seeds for the Future Programs, other YSEALI programs, and Professional Fellows Program (PFP).

Qualifications

 

  • To be successful in this job, you will excel in digital communications and social media management, graphic design tools and WordPress support; and have experience working with and writing for non-native English-speaking audiences, networking, and events support.
