Position description

PYXERA Global is a nonprofit based in Washington, DC that creates groundbreaking partnerships between the public, private, and social sectors, leveraging the unique attributes of each to create shared value and innovative solutions to complex challenges. Our initiatives include a wide range of services, from local content development, circular, global pro bono programs, and integrated community development efforts that transform lives and livelihoods. Our clients in the private sector include 3M, Johnson & Johnson, JPMorgan Chase, SAP, Mastercard, and others.

Global Pro Bono programs are corporate-sponsored initiatives aligned to a company’s broader strategy. Participating employees leverage their professional skills to assist social mission-driven organizations such as nonprofits, social enterprises, and government entities. Projects are time-bound, deliverable-based, and provide economic and social benefits to the local organization and community while building leadership skills.

The Program Manager (PM) works within the Global Pro Bono department and is responsible for program management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, thought leadership, and financial oversight of short-term GPB projects globally, including both virtual and immersive projects. The PM will be responsible for simultaneously managing projects for multiple corporate clients. Working closely with Client Managers, PMs will have the opportunity to apply their project management and strategic skills and gain exposure to a variety of program models and approaches within the department. In addition to overall programmatic activities, the PM will also support internal initiatives and oversee the work of a client team. The PM might be responsible for managing up to one corporate partner’s relationship, strategy, and financial management.

The GPB department operates in a fast-paced, agile environment with quickly shifting priorities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of agility and comfort with ambiguity. They will also be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments, and provide high-quality project support with little oversight. Experience navigating diverse geographies, openness to operating in new geographies, managing staff, and program implementation experience will be an asset in this role, as will experience in customer service and partnership development with the private and social sectors.

• Exceptional customer service, facilitation, and program/project management skills.
• Ability to manage the entire project lifecycle and adjust approaches as needed.
• Relevant international work experience.

• Strong experience in public speaking and meeting/event facilitation.
• Ability to create and foster partnerships among a variety of stakeholders in the public, private, and social sectors.
