Founded in 1965, Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is an anti-poverty program designed to provide needed resources to nonprofit organizations and public agencies to increase their capacity to lift communities out of poverty. AmeriCorps VISTA provides opportunities for Americans 18 years or older from a diverse range of backgrounds to dedicate a year of full-time service with an organization (“sponsor”) to create or expand programs designed to empower individuals and communities in overcoming poverty.

Duties
• Process administrative transactions related to the placement and enrollment of AmeriCorps members.
• Process administrative transactions related to the activation and exiting of members, including ensuring accurate and timely completion of required candidate paperwork.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with program requirements and provide technical assistance where needed.
• Ensure candidates and members comply with required background check processes
• Review Policies and Procedures to find and implement improvements and efficiencies.
• Provide Excellent Customer Service to AmeriCorps candidates, members, and staff
• Create and provide data reports as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Partnering: Develops networks and builds alliances, engages in cross‐functional activities; collaborates
across boundaries, and finds common ground with a widening range of stakeholders. Utilizes contacts to
build and strengthen internal support bases.
Accountability: Assures that effective controls are developed and maintained to ensure the integrity of
the organization. Holds self and others accountable for rules and responsibilities. Can be relied upon to
ensure that projects within areas of specific responsibility are completed in a timely manner. Monitors and evaluates plans, focuses on results and measuring attainment of outcomes.
