Grassroot Soccer (GRS) is a rapidly growing adolescent health organization that utilizes the power of soccer to equip young people with the life-saving information, services, and mentorship they need to live healthier lives. Since 2002, GRS has reached over 25 million young people in 60+ countries with life-saving HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health information and services.

Role Overview: The Grant Reporting & Compliance Manager facilitates global grants management processes and ensures compliance with donor requirements across all stages of the project life cycle. Managing a portfolio of 20-30 grants and contracts at one time, the role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, facilitating grant opening and closeout processes, maintaining and compiling grant-related information and files, managing reporting deadlines, and ensuring high-quality program reports and donor updates. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Grant Reporting & Compliance Manager will also work in close collaboration with the country Program Managers, as well as various members of the
Business Development, Curriculum, Research and Monitoring & Evaluation teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Grant Information Management (50%)
● Transition grant files and proposal documents from Business Development Manager upon grant signing
● Refine and update organization-wide grant information packet template to align with organizational processes and systems
● Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all grants (including current and past), including grant activities, application submissions, administrative documents, funding agreements, reporting requirements, and compliance requirements, etc.
● Develop and maintain systems to track grant application status, deadlines, and deliverables
● With support from the Senior Director of Finance, develop internal protocol for grant reporting and associated inputs
● Support program staff to develop templates and organizational stock language for writing high quality reports
● Coordinate and lead grant kick offs and grant check-in meetings, with ongoing support to program staff
● Ensure compliance with funder requirements and regulations, maintaining alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
● Liaise with in-country, regional and headquarters teams on grant management activities, including ad hoc requests for information and updates
● Oversee closeout of awards, including proactive collaboration with Program Managers and Business Development to ensure program sustainability and maximize long-term donor relations
● Analyze and evaluate grant performance, budget and compliance with donor regulations, recommending actions to the team

Grant Reporting (40%)
● Develop and manage an organizational tools for tracking and managing reporting submissions
● Create and manage a reporting timeline template to ensure timely and quality reporting
● Collate donor reports (monthly, quarterly, final) and coordinate inputs from relevant staff to effectively detail project progress, financial expenditures, and outcomes
● Provide copy editing and quality assurance of all internal and external reports
● Ensure tools and processes are adequate and in place for collecting relevant; quantitative and qualitative information required for reporting stakeholders (including but not limited to donors, GRS staff, thought leaders, etc.)
● Train and support to program team and local partners on grant management best practices and compliance requirements
● Develop, classify, and store communication tools (i.e., visuals/maps, case studies, infographics, photos/videos) and program information documents (e.g., donor reports, proposals, success stories/quotes) for internal and external use, ensuring easy access on the internal Drive

Other (10%)
● Support Business Development to gather and update information and documentation for new proposals and grant renewals
● Support marketing and communications as it relates to donor and prospect outreach, including but not limited to: reviewing external content
● Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with current and potential funders, partners, and other stakeholders
● Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in grant management and reporting.

Location & Travel
● Approximately 1-2 international trips per year
● GRS supports a flexible work schedule and ability to work remotely

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
● 3-5 years’ experience of relevant and progressive experience in related field
● Experience and understanding of donor policies, guidelines, strategies and reporting requirements for U.S. Government agencies, international NGOs, and corporate and foundation funders.
● Demonstrated success in report writing and effective coordination across departments, functional areas, and partners
● Proven success in facilitating collaboration among key stakeholders to pull together comprehensive reports that align with organizational goals and funder requirements
● Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including experience developing grant reports and facilitating calls
● Ability to work independently and flexibly across different time zones and teams
● Superior time management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tight timelines across teams and conduct thorough and timely follow-up
● Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
● Interest or knowledge of health issues affecting young people and communities in low- and middle-income countries

Preferred:
● Experience working with teams across multiple time zones and cross-cultural contexts
● 2 - 3 years of experience with an international NGO
● A passion for sport and youth development is a plus!
