Position description

The Quaker Council for European Affairs (QCEA) is looking for a creative and driven Communications & Programme Officer to join our team in Brussels. If you're passionate about peace, justice, and equality, this is an opportunity to contribute directly to social change in Europe.

In this role, you'll lead our communications strategy, design compelling publications, and manage online engagement across various platforms. You will also support our programme work, with a particular focus on human rights and advocacy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute QCEA’s digital communications strategy;
  • Design and produce high-quality publications and visual content;
  • Manage social media profiles and website updates;
  • Co-organize and facilitate QCEA’s peacebuilding dialogues and events;
  • Represent QCEA at public events and network with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in communications, ideally within an NGO or advocacy environment;
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a knack for crafting clear, engaging content;
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign) and video editing (e.g., Wondershare Filmora);
  • Fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus);
  • Interest in peace, human rights, and EU policymaking.
