Fundraising and Partnership Developer| The Hague |32 - 40 hours per week

HiiL, a social enterprise that works to enhance access to justice through innovation, is looking for a talented and driven Fundraising and Partnership Developer to develop and manage some of HiiL’s key donor accounts.

You will join our Partnership Development (PD) department and play a vital role in expanding and diversifying our funding sources. You will help to create new funding partnerships to make sure our work can sustainably grow. You will contribute to the design and implementation of the PD team’s workplan and strategy.
How will you contribute to HiiL’s mission:
- You utilise your expertise to craft compelling proposals tailor made to potential clients. foundations, bilateral and multilateral donors, leveraging both your personal connection and our organisational network.
- You employ your creativity and communication, providing clear directives to our communications teams to effectively articulate how our work addresses the challenges identified by funders, ultimately securing partnerships and funding for HiiL.
- You collaborate with Programme Directors overseeing country programmes and help their teams to write winning proposals and spot and pursue funding opportunities;
- You contribute to HiiL’s overall strategy, its Programme strategy, the annual workplan and quarterly implementation plans.
What we look for in our new colleague:
- Has a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. law, politics, international relations, international development studies, conflict studies);
- Has at least ten (10+) years of relevant work experience, including at least five (5) of which are focused on raising funds and deal making with private foundations, bilateral and multilateral institutional donors and managing those relationships;
- Has a track-record in deal-making, translating funding conversations into concrete deals and writing those up effectively;
- Has solid project design skills and strong writing skills, namely proposal writing;
- Has excellent analytical and assessment skills, can handle a high level of complexity;
- Is strong in coordinating processes and holds an ability to manage a variety of tasks;
- Has excellent interpersonal skills, has political awareness, sensitivity, astuteness, and discretion where needed;
- Is results-oriented, a team player, independent, hands-on and holds a strong sense of responsibility;
- Is IT savvy;
- Has full professional proficiency in English and has excellent verbal and writing skills. Knowledge of French/Dutch and/or Arabic are considered an extra asset;
- Holds a valid EU-citizenship or NL working permit;

What else:
- Starting date: in mutual agreement
- We offer a full-time position (40 hours) for an initial period of twelve (12) months with the aim of building a long term work relationship;
- A gross monthly salary for a full-time working week between € 4.800,- / €6.300,- based on relevant experience;
- ABP Pension;
- Up to eight (8) weeks of holidays when working full-time;
- Company laptop and NS card for commuting.
