Position description

The Role: S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking an experienced reporter for its digital news team in Buenos Aires covering markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. Filing several features a week, you will produce sharp, thought-provoking news to tight deadlines covering a range of topics, including M&A, capital markets activity and regulation. You will be pivotal in shaping our daily content and developing the full range of our product offering, from breaking news to feature-length reportage, bolstered by in-house data sources. You will also use your strong leadership skills to coach and mentor other team members.

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese necessary

  • Proven professional journalism experience, including English-language copy

  • Exceptional reporting and feature-writing skills a must, with an ability to deliver sharp, concise content to daily and weekly deadlines

  • Knowledge of the need-to-know trends affecting financial markets in Latin America and the Caribbean

  • Command of journalistic best practice (AP style, libel issues, etc.)

  • An affinity for analyzing numbers, using in-house data intelligence, financial reports and other industry information.

Candidates will need to pass in-house writing test, prior to interviews with the team.
