HJF is seeking a Project Management Coordinator to support the Military HIV Research Program (MHRP) located in Bethesda, MD. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to MHRP.
The incumbent will provide administrative project oversight of a narrower scope under the direction of a supervisor. Coordinate budget and accounting, space management, personnel management, overall management, contracts, and purchasing. Complete more routine tasks independently and rely on guidance from higher Program Manager (PM) levels for more complex tasks.

Responsibilities:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: International contract/grant management experience in commercial and not for profit/NGO sectors preferred. Working abroad while performing contracting duties and/or working for NGO's. Exceptional analytical skills and advanced written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively present complex ideas to diverse audiences. Capacity to create and/or maintain systems and procedures for managing complex programs with many implementation sites, partners and stakeholders. Ability and willingness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment with competing priorities. Ability to think strategically and work in a fast-paced environment; Ability to effectively prioritize projects, schedules, and deliverables; Flexibility to adapt to changing policies and requirements; Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and time-sensitive demands; Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and flexibility in problem solving; Ability to quickly absorb and apply new concepts and systems.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities: May recommend the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, and starting salaries; provide input on employee performance evaluations.
Work Environment: Office environment.
Work Arrangement: This position is 100% telework with the ability to come in for meetings or trainings as required. Ability to travel up to 10% of time to international sites.
