What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Trainee Consultant to work with our team and complement the fastest growing tech practice in town. You need to be proactive, solution-driven, engaging, and having excellent attention to detail.

The role includes daily monitoring of various issues (legislative and non-legislative), conducting research, drafting policy briefings, organising events, and overall supporting the team on current and upcoming tech projects.

Requirements:

Essential:

      • EU national or work permit holder as the traineeship is in Brussels, Belgium;
      • Perfect command of English; additional language skills an asset;
      • Advanced research and writing skills, including the ability to summarise issues quickly and accurately in simple terms;
      • Ability to work in a team, whilst at the same time carrying out own tasks independently and to agreed deadlines;
      • Enthusiasm to start a career in public affairs;
      • Flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment;
      • Strong planning skills;
      • Good knowledge about the EU Institutions and their work;
      • Interest in networking with digital policy peers.

Desirable:

      • Previous experience/traineeship in the digital sector;
      • Good, demonstrated knowledge of the key policy files (especially on ecommerce policy, online safety, audiovisual, artificial intelligence).
