The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation has defended women’s rights since 1993. For every woman’s right to be safe and to be heard. Today we are one of the world’s leading women’s rights organisations, working directly in areas affected by war and conflict to strengthen women’s influence and power. We work closely together with over 150 local partner organisations across 20 countries to end violence against women, reach lasting peace and close the gender gap once and for all. The future is equal. And together, we are change.

About The Internship

You would be part of the policy, advocacy & press unit, which develops reports, policies and recommendations based on evidence from our programme countries. We facilitate spaces for exchange across the organisations, partners and colleagues. Our work focuses on women’s participation in peacebuilding and women’s rights in conflict and post-conflict settings.

The internship is intended to make a practical contribution to the work of the organisation through fulfilling identified duties and responsibilities, and to offer a learning opportunity for you as an intern.

The internship is placed in Stockholm and you will be part of a group of other interns, our communications team as well as our global organisation.

Tasks may include

Additionally, your strong communication skills in both English and Swedish allow you to draft clear and impactful advocacy messages for diverse audiences. A strong background in or solid knowledge of Swedish politics from a gender equality perspective is meritorious.

Furthermore, you share our values: Courage, Commitment, and Credibility, as a means of embracing diversity, practicing intersectional feminism, and challenging inequities.
