Position description

The CACI team is looking to add a .NET Developer to their growing software development contract with the Department of State in Rosslyn, VA. You will be an integral part of the Agile team, working directly with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements and develop custom applications. The program emphasizes innovation and seeks individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex technical and procedural challenges.


This is primarily an on-site position, requiring four days per week in the Rosslyn, VA office. Limited remote work may be possible depending on project needs. This project is part of a significant strategic growth plan centered on human capital systems and other business systems within CACI. Responsibilities:

      • Work within an Agile environment to design and develop a complex object-oriented Department of State application, ensuring optimal user experience and maintainability.
      • Research, design, develop, and/or modify soft ware systems (e.g., custom, COTS, GOTS).
      • Collaborate with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to produce detailed specifications and develop software code that meets functional requirements.
      • Conduct impact analysis for software changes and develop cost estimates for enhancements.
      • Perform unit testing, document findings, and support formal testing in a controlled environment before code is promoted to production.
      • Adhere to program configuration change control standards.
      • Provide input into training manuals for users.
      • Stay updated on new releases and patches for COTS applications (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Momentum).
      • Write interfaces and conversion routines leveraging APIs and extend applications using applicable tools.
      • Contribute to the development of systems that directly support the Department of State's mission to protect lives and advance U.S. foreign policy objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
      • Active DoD Secret clearance.
      • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
      • Front-End Development: Proficiency in Angular (version 17 or higher), TypeScript (version 5.9), and Bootstrap (version5.3).
      • Back-End Development: Strong experience with C# .NET (version 8), Node.js (version 20), and ASP.NET Core (version8.0).
      • Database Development: Solid experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS version 21) and Entity Framework(version 8.0).
      • Web Services: Experience with APIs, JSON, and XML.
      • Development Tools: Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project management and CI/CD pipelines.
      • Design Principles: Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles and design patterns.
      • Collaboration: Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and manage interactions with varying personalities.
      • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a high-pressure environment.


Desired:

      • Experience with foundational Agile processes.
      • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS).
      • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
      • Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
