The Master of Public Administration Program and the Department of Political Science at the College of Charleston invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in environmental policy and politics beginning August 16, 2026. The ideal candidate will have the skills necessary to teach the public policy core course and elective courses on environmental law/policy in our NASPAA-accredited Master of Public Administration program. Undergraduate teaching requirements include a US-focused environmental policy course as well as American government and introductory courses in public administration and policy. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a 3-3 course load, maintain an active research agenda, and contribute to the governance of the MPA program. A PhD in Political Science, Public Administration, or a closely related field is required.
