POLS 101: Politics, Power & You. Mondays & Wednesdays, 10:30am-11:45am
Early College Academy section
(3 credits)
Both these sections will be in-person classes.
POLS 101 Description: Introduces students to U.S. political and public policy issues and processes to advance their ability to analyze and understand current topics in the news. Newspaper analysis, videos and journalistic accounts of current events will be featured.
Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master's degree in political science, history, or a related field from an accredited institution and should be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. A resume and cover letter are needed to apply for the position. Any other information that the candidate thinks will support his or her application will also be considered. Such information could include transcripts for degrees earned, syllabi for courses taught, or professional references. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration.
