Cottey College, a private liberal arts and sciences college for women, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in political science starting August 2026.
We are looking for a motivated candidate who is interested in teaching a broad range of courses in a student-centered, collaborative environment. The preferred candidate will have earned a Ph.D. in political science with a specialization in U.S. Government, have shown a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching, and effectively integrated research into their teaching.
We seek applicants who are excited to teach introductory and upper-division undergraduate courses in political science, including U.S. Government, Public Policy, Public Administration, and Quantitative Research Methods; ability to teach Political Behavior and Women, Power, and Politics, and experience in women, gender, and sexuality studies or environmental studies preferred.
Cottey faculty advise and mentor students, sponsor student organizations, engage in service, and participate in the life of the College.
